On March 10, the Sci-tech Exchange between NEU and Ansteel in Intelligent Optimization of Steel Rolling was held in the International Academic Exchange Center of NEU. Lin Daqing, Chief Engineer of Ansteel, Liu Fengqiang, General Manager of Science and Technology Development Department of Ansteel, Wang Guodong, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Tang Lixin, Vice-president of NEU were present at the meeting. Relevant leaders of the subsidiaries and chief engineers of Ansteel and concerned teachers from the State Key Laboratory of Rolling and Automation of NEU attended the meeting.

At the meeting, relevant experts made special reports and had group exchanges on the rolling problems in the fields of plates of moderate thickness, hot rolling, stainless steel, and cold rolling coating.
